At Heriot-Watt University, he addressed participants on the theme: “Peace as the Cornerstone: Navigating Democracy, Identity, and Innovation in a World Between Epochs.”
The event was hosted at Heriot-Watt University, with sessions also taking place in the Scottish Parliament and Edinburgh Castle, symbols of dialogue, democracy, and unity.
He also attended a special parliamentary session opened by Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone, attended by MPs and prominent public figures. The forum gathered high-level participants such as former Prime Ministers Bertie Ahern (Ireland), Henry McLeish (Scotland), and Mark Drakeford (Wales), former UK Secretary of State for Scotland Lord Malcolm Offord and former foreign ministers of Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.
